Important Update - Season 2020!
WPFC Club Statement - 18 March 2020
Yesterday morning the NSFA sent an email to its registered players and officials to postpone all football activities - including matches and training sessions - until 1 May due to the spread of COVID-19. Here is a link to the NSFA announcement :
The West Pymble Football Club Committee support this decision and would like to direct that WPFC members do not engage in any club-related football activities until 1 May. This means that all training, trial games and coaching sessions organised through the Club will cease in this time-frame. We strongly encourage members to follow Government and medical advice to follow social distancing practices during this time to enable us to slow down the spread of the virus.
The FFA have announced grassroots training is to cease until 14 April 2020. Here is a link to the revised FFA announcement sent out yesterday afternoon: https://www.ffa.com.au/news/suspension-grassroots-football-activity. Please note, despite the FFA directive, our Club is abiding by the NSFA return date of 1 May 2020. We are planning for a full season of football to proceed and we anticipate confirmation of the draw from the NSFA in the coming weeks.
The WPFC Committee are meeting on Tuesday night (24 March) to further discuss the impact of COVID-19 and we will provide further guidance to club members after this meeting. We will also be posting a Question and Answer fact sheet and further information on our Club Website (links are included on this email). This will be updated on our Club website as information comes to hand.
COVID 19 COERVER Update
We encourage members to show their Club and community spirit by looking after themselves and each other during this time.
