WPFC Committee purchase seven defibrillators
After two recent incidents involving club members where both players were thankfully revived by defibrillators, the Committee has purchased seven defibrillators.
The intention is that every Over 35s and Over 45s Mens and Womens squad or team has a portable defibrillator that they can take with them to all matches. The defibrillators will be carried to matches in kit bags which should reside inside the "technical areas" where they are easily accessible. It is also recommended that they be taken to training sessions too.
The club has not budgeted for the purchase of these defibrillators and it would really be appreciated if some of the costs could be covered by member contributions.
We would like to request that all members of the Over 35s and Over 45s Mens and Womens teams contribute (donations can be made in lots of $20), but will happily take donations from any members. To donate, please click here.
Suggested contributions from O35 & O45 players:
$100+ (if you can afford it)
$60 (as a standard contribution)
$20 (if you cannot afford anything higher)
One of the members involved in the recent incidents, Ian Rae and his Over 45 Division 2 squad, have already taken the lead and contributed over $2,000 - thanks very much guys!
