Team Selection & Grading (TAGS) 2019


In 2019, all junior players (except Under 6 & Under 7) are required to attend Team Allocation & Grading Sessions (TAGS 2019) at the times and locations stated below.

IMPORTANT:- Studded football boots are NOT ALLOWED at these sessions due to council requirements.


Mixed Juniors (U8 to U12) - 10 February and 17 February at Norman Griffiths Oval

U8: 8.00 - 9.00 AM U9: 9.30 - 10.30 AM U10: 11.00 -  12.00 PM U11: 12.30 - 1.30 PM U12: 2.00 - 3.00 PM

Girls (U8 - U12) – 10 February and 17 February at Norman Griffiths Oval

U8: 8.00 - 9.00 AM

U9: 9.30 - 10.30 AM

U10: 11.00 -  12.00 PM

U11: 12.30 - 1.30 PM

U12: 2.00 - 3.00 PM

Mixed Juniors (U13 to U18) - 12 February and 19 February at Norman Griffiths Oval

U13 & U14: 5.00 PM to 6.00 PM

U15 & U16: 6.00 PM to 7.00 PM U18: 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM

Girls (U14 - U18) / All Age Women – 12 February and 19 February at Norman Griffiths Oval
U14: 5.00 - 6.00 PM

U16: 6.00 - 7.00 PM

U18 & All-Age: 7.00 - 8.00 PM


A further date, 24 February 2019, has also been reserved in the event that either of the above sessions is cancelled due to weather.  The Calendar tab on the Club website also displays all these times.

Please also ensure that juniors are registered in advance of TAGS to ensure that we can be organised with exercises and can plan numbers of teams.

Participants are required to check in at the registration desk on grading day, the desk will be open from 30 minutes before your session commences. Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time to register.

Attending TAGS is an important aspect of the team allocation process.  We strongly encourage all players to attend both these sessions.  We appreciate however that this is not possible for everybody.  In those circumstances, you should certainly make every effort to attend at least one of the nominated sessions for your age group.

Most importantly, if you will be absent from one of the nominated sessions, we ask that notify the Age Manager (via the Club website) in advance.  With almost 350 players in the U8 - U13 age groups, this allows us to plan and conduct the sessions more effectively, making sure everybody is considered.

Welcome to Football Day (U6s & U7s)

U6s & U7s will have a separate Welcome to Football Day on the morning of Sunday 3 March 2019 at Norman Griffiths Oval:


Under 6s - 8.30 am to 9.30 am

Under 7s - 10.00am to 11.00am


There will be no grading for these teams playing in these age groups.  The day will enable teams to be finalised, players and parents to meet, and gear to be purchased. We will also be providing juniors and parents with information on the format and structure of small-sided football. More information on times will be provided directly to players.
