As many of you are aware, Council has officially terminated the contract with the builder of our new Norman Griffiths, Turf One, citing a long series of complications including environmental issues, design changes, delays, and cost blowouts.
Council has now taken possession of the site and have advised they will be assessing how best to complete the project, including whether to revert to natural turf instead of finishing the synthetic pitch that’s already 80% complete.
The ongoing delays have left our club without a home ground for three years longer than originally promised. This has meant constant disruptions to training and matches, countless washouts, and a real impact on the local community. Even our beloved West Pymble Bowlo has felt the hit, with fewer families dropping in after games and training sessions.
We’ve fought hard to get a synthetic field that supports football year-round, and we're still fighting. Let’s show Council how much this matters to our club and our community.
Sign the petition to urge council to give us our synthetic pitch once and for all!
You can also write to your local councilors and let them know you support the completion of the synthetic field on Norman Griffiths Oval:
